About the Role
Gaywood Primary’s new Headteacher will be a passionate and motivated educational leader committed to providing children with valuable enrichment opportunities and a focus on developing the whole child. Whilst we will never underestimate the importance of achievement and standards for our pupils, the vision of both Gaywood Primary and WNAT is to provide children with an exciting, broad and balanced curriculum filled with opportunities to enrich their learning experience both in and outside of the traditional classroom setting.
Having said that, we recognise that there have been significant changes to the educational landscape. It is essential that Gaywood Primary’s new Headteacher will have a sound understanding of life without levels and how to effectively respond to this, ensuring that our pupils are well placed to succeed. You will work alongside colleagues within the school and at Trust level to bolster achievement, ensuring that pupils leave us in Year 6 ready to take on the challenges of secondary school.
We are looking for a proven leader, with the skills to galvanise and inspire pupils, staff and the wider community to achieve their best.
You will be a visible figurehead for the school –engagement with stakeholders at all levels is key and we are keen to develop and foster relationships with the families of all our pupils. In addition to this, you will set the bar for teaching and learning across the school, as well as providing direction and empowering staff to be the best they can be, thus providing pupils with the education they deserve.
Above all, you will be passionate about creating opportunities for our pupils to realise their full potential – delivering excellence at every opportunity.
